Previewing Shortened Links
The preview functionality allows you to inspect the details of a shortened link before using it, offering information such as title, description, image, and any custom redirects that may affect the link's behavior.
What Does the Preview Page Display?
The preview page for a shortened link in kub.sh provides the following details:
- Title and Description: Automatically retrieved from the Open Graph information configured on the destination site.
- Image: Displayed based on the Open Graph tag, if available in the original link.
Notice About Custom Redirects
If a shortened link includes custom redirects for specific devices (such as iOS or Android) or geographic regions, these redirects may cause differences between the content displayed in the preview and what is shown when accessing the link under different conditions. These details are highlighted on the preview page.
How to Quickly Preview a Link?
To preview a shortened link without accessing the dashboard, simply add the + symbol to the end of the shortened URL. For example:
- kub.sh/example → kub.sh/example+
This shortcut directly opens the link's preview page, providing all the essential information in seconds.
Tip: The preview is useful for ensuring the link's content is accurate before sharing it, especially if it includes specific redirects or customizations.
